Profile

Janel began dancing at the age of 3. She danced competitively until the age of 18 in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and musical theatre. After high school, she travelled the world while dancing professionally for Royal Caribbean International. While abroad, she discovered that she wanted to continue her education in an area that would allow for her to educate and share with others her passion for movement and physical activity. For that reason, she attended the University of Alberta where she completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology. She also obtained a certification in both exercise physiology and personal training through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology. During her time in university, Janel began teaching dance to children of all ages and continues to do so. She enjoys sharing her passion with the kids and watching them develop their own love for music and movement. Janel is a mother of 2 children who have both enjoyed going through the Intellidance® program.
